150

I've made 150 (actually 151) alcohol free days this year.  The goal was to be 100%.  It didn't happen, but that's okay.  I'm making great progress and that's all I'm focusing on for the moment.  It's getting easier, I don't think about drinking all the time.  I don't fight cravings everyday.  I don't feel sorry for myself, that I don't drink (much).

I'm moving forward and that's all that matters to me.

  1. You are doing amazing! Simply overhauling your lifestyle as you have done is something to be proud of. Its easy to get the feeling from the blogs that its all or nothing in regards to drinking but that may not be how it works for all of us. You have gotten to the point where you view drinking as a negative and that's huge. You rarely win a war without losing some battles along the way, you just have to win the key ones.

    1. Thank you Habit! When I first starting blogging, I so wanted to have a straight path to never drinking again, but it hasn't worked that way. I have come a long way, I've changed many of my bad habits and have found ways to cope and not drink. I like your analogy, "You rarely win a war without losing some battles along the way, you just have to win the key ones." xoxo, ll
